"Fuel Fudge, makes 32 0.7 oz servings, total weight 1lb 5oz.
At home: microwave: 1 16 oz jar of peanut butter till flows easily. Stir in 4 oz hot bacon grease. Mix in 0.5 cup honey, 3 cups powdered milk, 2 cups peanuts, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup flaked sweetened coconut. Spread 1-inch thick into 2 greased 8x8 pans and let cool. Cut each pan into 16 squares.
"May turn gloppy after a couple weeks on the trail... should keep unspoiled for ~4 weeks no problem."
Recommended to eat before getting into your bag at night to keep warm.

I substitute almond butter, ditch the nuts, coconut and raisins in favor of bacon. Dip frozen squares in dark chocolate and roll in more crushed bacon. I think this adds about 150 calories and helps keep them stable.
