One thought for anybody planning on taking Greyhound to San Diego for start, who is coming from points east(ugggghhhh i hate greyhound). Check out taking it to Calexico instead, walk across the border, then take cheap (less than 10$/110 pesos) bus to Tecate, where u can walk across the border again to Campo. All of the bus stations involved are very close to the border.

i am just sort of interested in some of the creative ways people are actually going to GET to the trailhead?? Do most people fly? This is when the real adventure actually begins for a lot of us.....especially us noobs.

i personally am just planning on walking out the door, to the transit station, and connecting with a san diego bound train... i have some plans in order once i get to SD, but basically, the adventure begins when i hug and kiss my gf goodbye and head out the door for 6 months....
