I'm sure most of you, the Class of 2012, know about this, but I thought I'd post it just in case you didn't: PCT alumn, Halfmile, has made some accurate maps you can carry on the trail. Best of all, they are free. You should check back to his site in the new year, when he'll post the most updated versions (that will include more campsites, more accurate trail routes, any re-routes, and opened sections previously closed). They saved my life a few times while on the PCT!

Today I'm moving out of my adorable little cabin on the lake, and into a drafty room in my friends barn, literally over the horse and goats. This way I'll be able to put 4 months rent into the $$$ PCT fund. The house (i.e. bathroom / kitchen ) are across the yard. It's going to be a cold winter in the Inland NW for me, but I'm TOTALLY chalking this up as 'training'....
