Spent the night making data packets last night - it really starts to hit home when you see "#11 Tuolumne to Echo Lake - 151.8 miles, #12 Echo Lake to Sierra City 103.1 miles" etc... Damn California is LOONNGGG...

I have thru-hiked the PCT twice and the CDT once. Might hike out the PCT again in 2012. Not sure if any advise I could give will be very useful. A successful thru-hike is mostly a matter of deciding, in advance, to overcome all obstacles you meet along the way. With a commitment like that it almost does not matter what kind of gear you carry or what re-supply strategy you use. Will check in from time to time to answer what questions I can.
